Everyone who has ever worked with me on either my cookbooks or my shows knows that I love making desserts but I don’t like them too sweet. A dessert should be a satisfying finale to your meal , not cloying and heavy. It can be as small as a little crunchy biscotti or a piece of fruit to a more elaborate concoction of nuts and spun sugar. Keeping the portions small also allows you to indulge a little more often.
